My 34th Birthday
I just had to share this sweet note Jason put on his blog! He also gave ma a love note and a card to keep in my wallet to always remind me how special I am. I ADORE getting love notes, Thank you honey>xxxooo
Last Saturday J and I went out on a date, it was tobe at P.F. Changs but when they informed us of the two+ wait we went to the Met bar and Grill. It was so much fun!First off this was our first date in so... long and it was nice to just talk about our hopes, dreams, goals and just being together. Plus I must say we had a table in front of the chef and it was SO cool to watch them put plates together. Every plate had the presentation to die for, he would clean the edges to make sure it looked just so, he also checked temperature and gave it back if it was not perfect. I think we has upset when my steak was given back, it was just too pink but perfect:)I hope to visit again soon.
Happy Birthday honey!
You are more beautiful today than you were when we met...and yes, I really mean that :)
I just thought I would jot down a few things to tell you I love you:
- I love what an incredible mother you are. Our children are so blessed to have you and if not for the way you worked your magic in this family...we would not be anything close to what we are today.
- I love what an incredible woman you are. The way you share your life, your feelings, your heart with others...the way that you have made a great life out of difficult circumstances and the way the you see the world is a blessing to me and to everyone that we come in contact with.
- I love what an incredible faith you have developed. I have seen you change over the last few years as you have grasped what God means to you...to have a relationship with Him and how you want to share that with those around you. That has been amazing for me to watch, is an amazing example that you set for our kids and I truly believe you have been an awesome influence on many around us.
So many more things to say...but some stuff has to be left for the letter...
I love you and wish you the happiest of birthdays!

This was from Crosswalk devotional that I strive to read every morning. I believe James has a good point in vs 4:2- and is a good reminder.
Praying: James 4:2 goes on to say, "You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God." James is telling us how to avoid fights. Take our unmet needs, desires, expectations and complaints to God. We don't need to expect our husbands, children, neighbors, co-workers or friends to fulfill our every need.
Walking in truth: It's easy to believe the lies of the enemy or our flesh: If you were only married to someone else, you'd have a better life. If he would clean up after himself, you wouldn't have so much work to do. No one around here appreciates you. The lies escalate the battles. We spiral quickly into feelings of self-pity and anger. Instead we can learn to recognize those lies and refocus on Truth—God's Truth. We can go to His Word and read what He has to say about the people we love and the position we are in. Psalm 26:2-3 says, "Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind, for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth."
